![]() ![]() Rather than coupling it with the car’s original transmission, Sideways Fab & Customs has mated it with a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission that drives the rear wheels. It’s safe to assume that this engine was sourced from a wrecked Maserati. It is unclear just how much power it is pumping out. While it may look like this F136 has been lifted from a Ferrari California, it is actually a Maserati version of the engine but has been equipped with the manifold of a California. This engine was first introduced in 2001 and has been used in a plethora of Maserati and Ferrari models over the years, starting with the 385 hp Maserati Coupe and Spyder through to the Ferrari 458 Speciale. The engine powering this GT 86 is Ferrari and Maserati’s F136.
